Diwali

My dearest fans, Wish each of you and your family a very Happy Diwali !. May this Diwali bring with it some new light and lead us towards better awareness rather than mindless accomplishments.

    Diwali

Let us take a moment to stop and reflect, and care for the people who make our everyday life a treat to live. The pointed focus of our career goals, renders our relationships to slowly cease meaning. Let us remind ourselves of the overall responsibility we share not just as a good citizen, but as a brother, as a son, as a husband or as torch bearer in any relationship. Let us not give into such illusions. Yes, our mind is always our biggest enemy. Give people around you a chance to reset it. Have a wonderful festival season.

Presence of Mind

It hurts to reiterate that we have witnessed yet another painful terrorist event. And it has dampened the spirits and the Festive mood here, what with Diwali, Ramzan, Halloween all in the same week !. I don’t remember any week like this before, where Hindus, Muslims, and other religions have had their festivities lined up this way.

We should all be happy about this coincidence, and spread greater harmony by wishing each other, instead we stand to witness brutalities. India has always been very complex to understand. While on the one end, we see disregard for human lives, in the middle of all this mayhem, there are some real people who are just too exemplary to forget. I salute the brave men, who had this amazing presence of mind to avert another fatal blast. Read it here.

And let me quote an SMS that I received from my friend.

Who are we to say, who’s a Hindu and who’s a Muslim ? Why is there an ALI in Diw-ALI and a RAM in RAM-zan. Let Unity always be our strength !!

Tolerance

Its been a year since I officially started blogging. Yes, October last year, did not realize it until this 18th day of October, that we are already in the month of October. Happy belated anniversary, all you captivated souls!. A touch of history here. I had maintained a daily journal for some years on my desktop, and deliberately avoided blogging for a couple of years, its one of those should-i-should-i-not things.

But here we are, a year into it. I thank all of you my dear fans for tolerating my mindless musings. Tolerance, is something I learnt from somebody who coincidentally, was born on this day of October.
